Menhir architecten maakt zich sterk voor een esthetisch, flexibel en duurzaam totaal ontwerp.

Scenario’s bedenken en strategieën bepalen zijn daarbij essentieel.

Als uitgangspunt richten wij ons op vragen uit de samenleving en zoeken daarbij een locatie waar ideeën vorm kunnen krijgen.

Menhir architects’ aim is to work towards a total design which is aesthetically pleasing, flexible, sustainable and environmentally conscious . We work in a broad professional field: urban planning, utilities, combined functions, churches, private housing and interior design.

Making scenarios and planning strategies are essential to our work. As a starting point we provide solutions to society’s needs, such as housing for the elderly, and search for locations where space and ideas can gain shape. The name, Menhir, symbolizes the first stone.

Inge de Boorder attended the Gerrit Rietveld Academy and the Academy for Architecture in Amsterdam. She worked for several firms in the Netherlands and abroad before she started at Menhir architects in 2005.

Over the past several years, Inge has served on a committee for exams in Architecture and for twelve years, she was a member of a committee for the municipal permits and monuments in the provinces of North Holland and Utrecht. In addition, she has judged architect selections and has been a teacher at the Weekend school of Architecture.

Inge is a member of the BNA : Union of Architects in the Netherlands.
